The Swifties get it: Taylor Swift is one of the most successful and influential pop artists of our time. Since she was a teenager writing devastatingly honest lyrics about her classmates and touring with Tim and Faith, her songs have captured the hearts of millions of fans worldwide (it’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me).
And now, our favorite pop princess is blessing us with her first concert since Reputation (RIP, Lover tour): The Eras Tour, featuring a roundup of her most beloved songs from each of her INCREDIBLE ten albums, from Debut to Midnights.
Whether you were fortunate enough to be in Swift City, Eras-zona for the first couple of shows or, like me, watched every second as it was livestreamed on TikTok, you were probably shocked and ecstatic to see that our girl performed an incredible 44-song setlist, clocking in at over three hours onstage! It’s giving icon. It’s giving goddess. It’s giving Taylor Alison Swift.
If you were able to snag tickets for one of the Eras shows, chances are good that one thing has been at the forefront of your mind since the tour started—what should you wear?? Swifties: Concert Edition are well known for three things: 1. Belting, “1, 2, 3, let’s go, bitch!” during that one part of Delicate. 2. Making and distributing friendship bracelets to their fellow Swifties and, 3. Going all out with their costumes. And since Eras spans the length of Taylor’s career, the outfit options are truly endless. MARKET.live is the perfect place to grab the cherry-on-top accessories and base pieces, so you can ensure everyone is “enchanted to meet you” while you’re belting out every word of the ten-minute version of “All Too Well.” Below, we’ve provided our top MARKET.live picks for every T-Swift era, as well as my favorite song from each album, just for fun.
My favorite song: Picture to Burn (iykyk)
Taylor Swift's self-titled debut album was released in 2006 and was a huge success, reaching the top of the country music charts. The album features classic country-inspired songs that tell stories of young love and heartbreak. Top debut costumes go back to her country roots and often involve swinging dresses and cowboy boots. Wear these adorable earrings, which are reminiscent of Tim McGraw’s iconic hat, with your Debut look:
3D Cowboy Hats Earrings Brass Gay Isber | $65
My favorite song: Love Story
"Fearless," was released in 2008 and marked her transition from country music to mainstream pop. The album features a mix of upbeat pop anthems and slower, heartfelt ballads, and its themes are centered around love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. For this era, I recommend wearing fringe dresses, peasant tops, or a classic Romeo and Juliet-inspired gown. Top it off with:
It’s a love story, and in the signature Fearless color? Yes, please.
My favorite song: Enchanted
"Speak Now" is Taylor's third studio album and was released in 2010. The album features Taylor's signature songwriting style and storytelling, with each track telling a unique story. The themes of this album are centered around love, heartbreak, and personal growth. If this is your favorite album, you’re probably wearing that purple dress, as well as this:
Grab a few so you can trade with the people next to you!
Red (2012)
My favorite song: All Too Well (the 10-minute version, obvs)
This album was released in 2012 and features a mix of pop, country, and rock influences and explores the emotions and feelings associated with love and heartbreak. The themes of this album are centered around the color red, which symbolizes passion, anger, and intense emotions. It’s allegedly about Taylor’s ex, Jake Gyllenhaal, whom she will “never ever ever” get back together with, and it’s got bangers on it like, “State of Grace,” “22,” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Taylor re-recorded and released this album in 2021 to gain control over her masters after they were sold to her archnemesis, Scooter Braun, and her versions of each song are even better than the original. Dressing up for Red? You NEED her legendary red lip:
My favorite song: Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)
Her name is Taylor, and she was born in "1989.” This album marked a significant change in Taylor's sound and image. It’s got a more synthpop and dance-oriented sound and explores the themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. This era is all about the jewel tones and sparkle—sequins are your friends if this is your era. Something like this would be peak 1989:
Women's Sequin Slip Dress - A New Day™| $30
Reputation (2017)
My favorite song: Dress
"Reputation" was released in 2017 and heavily features a darker, moody vibe and the snake motif. The album explores the themes of betrayal, self-discovery, and the media's perception of Taylor—it all went down following Taylor’s very public standoff with Kanye West and the Kardashians, and she held nothing back when penning her diss tracks. Reputation costumes are black, mysterious, and sexy. This bodysuit would be a great base for any Reputation look:
My favorite song: The Man
"Lover" features a more upbeat sound compared to "Reputation" and explores the themes of love, relationships, and personal growth. Lover screams pastels—soft pinks and blues, rhinestones, and rainbow energy. Top off your look with these:
Pastel Sea Beads Teardrop Dangle Earrings | $9.95
Starry Night Rhinestone Denim Jacket - Hot Pink | $79.99
Folklore (2020)
My favorite song: The Last Great American Dynasty
While some of us were baking bread and staring out the windows at the beginning of the pandemic, Taylor was hard at work playing with her cats, as well as writing and recording an entire surprise album to lift us out of our misery and dread. The album features a more stripped-down and folk-inspired sound and explores the themes of isolation, imagination, storytelling and self-reflection. Think cozy, think Americana, and, of course, think Cardigan:
ELEVENTY SWEATERS IVORY | $263
My favorite song: Champagne Problems
"Evermore" is Taylor's ninth studio album and was released in 2020, just months after "Folklore." It’s a sister album to "Folklore" and continues to explore love, loss, and self-discovery. Evermore girlies are into neutrals and beiges, and probably own a lot of plaid. This shacket would be the perfect addition to an Evermore look:
Long Flannel Shock Shacket | $88.20
My favorite song: Bejweled
Karma is her boyfriend. Taylor describes her latest work as, “a concept album about nocturnal ruminations” and it’s pretty much flawless. If you’re ready to make the whole place shimmer with a Midnights-inspired look, then you need navy blue sparkles and the perfect time-telling piece. Complete your look with these:
Hermès Clipper Women's Watch | $2150
